replacing 1/4's

Has anybody ever done this themselves, I really will have to tackle the job myself since it's gonna cost so much just for the 1/4 panels let alone getting somebody to do them for me. My neighbour has a welder I could borrow and I have all the time in the world to do this. Any products I can use to protect the inner panel would be helpful and any information on tackling the welding job myself would be appreciated

69hemi's website (www.69hemi.com) is a pretty popular reference for this info...definitely helped me when I replaced mine a while back.  Not sure what you mean about the inner panel, though.
