Did you forget clear coat ? or is it just satin blue ?

srpntlair1

It has 3 coats base and 4 coats clear, just my camera sucks. color was called Dark blue metallic, but doesn't seem nearly as dark as the sample, more like a B5 blue. I still like it. no runs thank god, but I got a bug in the clear that i have to shave out....I did it in my driveway...LOL. Definitely will not compare to concours, but this is my first restoration and I am doing 98% myself. the other 2% goes to the mechanic who is buildingĀ  the stroker, but is kind enough to let me do all the work under his guidance and help. thanks for the feedback!!! Also it is a 73 SE special order car. bought in the town I live in, I actually have the original license plate that was first bolted on the car, unfortunately it is too rusted for Florida to authenticate. Build sheet, warranty and limitation of liability card, the CHRYSLER CORPORATION CARES card, orig. owners manual, Chryslers consumer information stopping distance, acceleration and passing, and ability and tire reserve load data sheet with my VIN typed on it, and original options brochure (the "did you forget anything?"booklet)

4 coats alot for engine compartment, 2's all you need, especially if a High Solids Clear. Kinda looks like a Laquer job & then in that case 4 maybe not to much since Laquer goes on much thinner. Looks good for a first attempt. LEON.

Is dark blue meta;ic B7? dark blue poly is QQ1 and that looks to be about the same shade.  It looks good.
