It looks great, did you score that from eGouge?
Whatcha gonna do with the one currently in the car?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Just 6T9 CHGR

Quotethe orange on the tic/tach was even bright

HA! :haha:

Looks good but without the tach I hope the price dropped considerably.......  At least now you'll have the correct 69 cluster in the car

Brock I've somehow missed this about an SRV paint scheme.  Do tell.

Brock Samson

i found it at the mopar alley show sunday,..
i'm slowly building steam (funds/parts) to re do the interior and repaint the car,.. click the link above to find out what options/suggestions i'm concidering...

Interesting.  You have to return to being Stratocharger again.  Not that you ever really left it.

Of course, you already know that you also need to change the guitar in that pic to one with a black pickguard to really get the SRV vibe going.  :icon_smile_wink:

well when i was envisioning this sunburst strat paint job i thought the lines of the Charger, particually the second gens were a great deal like a Stratocaster guitar, the feminine cokebottle/hourglass shape and all that, so taking it one step further I thought a Classic Sunburst paint job would fit it just as well, but explaining it to folks has proven rather difficult, even pro painters have looked at me kinda' funny when i was trying to explain it..

If the top isn't too far gone,.. and it was pretty rough last time i had the top off,.. i feel a really slick glossy tortise shell finish on top would be KILLER!

my other thought for the interior is to have a dash facia CNCed out of a custom material, perhaps also a tortise shell material...
that's gonna require more research though,.. maybe a carbon fiber or aluminum piece, but i'm just letting my imagination go wild here..
I've also thought about having dakota digital do the dash over going to a digital look with the exception of a conventional Tach...  :scratchchin:
going back to stock is also another route i could take but, I'd rather have fun and go wild then slavishly try to please purists...
no offense...  :-\

Not much for tortoise shell on the guitars but black or white plastic would be rather dull for the dash so I have to admit...
I've drawn that parallel between Strats, 2nd gen Chargers and girls for a long time myself (Les Pauls too but they're like girl with a little more hip) and people always look at me like I'm nuts.
Have a pair of sunburst Strats myself.

The more I look at it, the more I like it.  What do you think the chances are that Fender want to use it for a feature car at NAMM or to lead off their big parade from Arizona to Mopars at the Strip?  Ritchie Fleigler is apparently a big Mopar fan now.

Hey, speaking of Strats (I burn on a Big Black Mexican Fat Stratocaster HSS, with an old-timey Floyd Rose Tremolo)
I found these pics on AutoBlog of all places...

not a big fan of those mustang strats but didn't fender actually make a "Mustang" guitar?.. seems they were around in the surf music days... had a Jaguar model too i think...
I think they had a compitition stripe on em too, but tended to be the metallic colors that were wild, or at least concidered wild at that time...   any how thanks Magnum for that SRV stripe and detail, maybe the charger logos could be switched to the Fender logos, maybe off their amps or something...
& it's ok if ya' don't like my idea/s folks, thinking don't hurt no body...  :icon_smile_wink:

I'm pretty sure Kenny Wayne Shepard used a Fender guitar motif on his General Lee-like Charger.
Had the console done up with pickguard material too...

You could get the seats finished in black tolex with blond tweed inserts.

A buddy of mine has one of those Mustang guitars from the 60's.
