Yes, this is true. I was shocked by this as well when I was told to get my car, but after the autograph dinner on Friday night, my son and I had the pleasure of riding with John, while he drove The Colonel, back to his hotel with his wife. It may have only been five minutes, but it was fun. Unfortunately I only had my video camera, because my Daughter had a dance recital back in Pittsburgh, but as soon as I get some pics from a few guys, I will post them.  My 7 year old son was so excited!!! :yesnod:

Quick put it on ebay, you should be able to get at least a million now.   :P

No really that is awesome.  Hes a pretty cool dude.

hmmm....there is a thought! >:D >:D :lol:  I'm sure it would bring the price up a little, but I could never do that.  I have met him a few times now, and he is really down to earth, and loves what he does.  He is cool indeed.

I don't have the equipment to put it on there.  I have to get a DVD of it, then I think I can.  I don't have that little cable to send it from the camcorder to the puter! :'(  Is that all I need is that USB Cable?

Yeah, I quickly told hgim about it as we were driving.  It was only about 5 or 6 minutes, but he knew a little of the story from a couple other guys! ;)

Really?  So he had already been inquiring about the car or just happened to be in on a conversation?  That's pretty good that he is into the cars and not just trying to keep his name out there with an established fan base.

Maybe have the steering wheel bronzed and mount it on the wall of your garage.  ;D

It has come up in conversatation with people he has known.  He inquired about it in 2005 at Dukesfest in Bristol, when he asked me why the under side of the trunk lid was painted orange.  He then told me not to paint, and that he could not paint it if he owned it.  So I have since obeyed his wishes, and he has remembered the car.  He got a kick out of the horn, and said "I like The Colonel, The Colonel is good".  He is a very down to earth guy that just likes cars. :yesnod:

Just a little tip about the cable.. If you use an Firewire cable the transfer will go MUCH faster!  ;)

Well, I found out our camcorder does not have a outlet for teh cable.  I guess you need a digital camcorder.  My wifes parents have one, so I will see if I can record it to theirs, and then download it to youtube or something! ???
