G'day guys,

a while ago someone posted a link which showed you how to install the rebuild kits which connect the steering column to the power steering unit - theres a couple of metal bushes etc which need to be replaced (hope you know what i mean).

I don't suppose anyone knows the link. I'd just like some pictures to go by.

theres nothing too the steering coupler. all you do is push out the itty bitty pin on the steering wheel side, then slide the coupler off the end. note how the "shoes" come out, then clean it all up, install the new shoes with the new spring how it was, slide it back and insert the new pin. viola. real easy. I dont have any pics though. sorry.

Thanks for that. :icon_smile_big:

It was just that mines a bit messy looking, and I've just had a new kit mailed to me and want to do it properly. i think i might actually remove the column completely, paint it up and then install.

I just remember that there was a really detailed web page about the components and thought it wise to have a look.

well the shoes look like an H with a hole in the middle bar. it sits on a stud looking thing with the spring underneath both shoes to push it to the outside of the coupler housing. its real easy.
