4 speed gear oil/lube.

Any suggestions as to what type of gear lube to put into an 833 4 speed gear box? Tranny was just cleaned, re-assembled, and has new gaskets. Should i just replace it with the recommended gear oil, or is there a new brand on the market, synthetic or otherwise, that I should think about putting into the transmission.

If I use the manufacturers suggested viscosity, is it OK or even advisable to put some of the Lucas Brand oil stabilizer/enhancer into the blend?

They make synthetic stuff, buy the heaviest weight you can find.

I've used Redline 75-90NS in a couple of 833's and like it.

I used to use 80w90 gear lube. Call Jamie Passon at Passon perf. He sells some good gear lube.
