Where to put an rpm gauge on a 71 Charger with a Rallye cluster with out molesting it?
I know there is a new bracket for the Rpm gauge that sits on the dash but it just looks alright there not great. One person suggests putting an rpm gauge on the hood just like a Buick or a Judge (one of them bugle type rpm gauge). I have seen many that place the gauge right behind the steering wheel in front of the gauges, how in the world are you suppose to see them gauges that work now? I have seen some on the floor column shift which look alright but you have to look down to see it. Does anyone have any ideas on where to put an rpm gauge in a descent spot?

The hood tach was dealer optional.

I'm thinking on the smaller one posible at column just between both cluster big gauges.

i have a 5" monster tach mounted on my console, but i ran the shift light up and have it mounted on the left a pillar moulding.

Mine is mounted so it hangs from the bottom of the dash over the console. I rotated the dial, it's an Autometer, so it's easily readable from the driver's seat.

For the Rallye custer set up I have it has the oil and gas as the big gauge, keeping that, you don't see many of them around

you can get a clock cluster what are very common around and install a repro tach sold by chargerspecialties and several other websites, not exact to originals, 8K instead 7, and slight different font but works

I know somebody in the past was selling tic-toc-tachs for 3rd gens too

Sorry, no pics. The Charger is in Maryland, I'm in Egypt. I probably won't even see it again until next summer.
