Thanks Allen...
I"ll post some more... The Meet was great.. It was nice to see so many Chargers of various pedigrees.. Beautiful 318 1st Gen's to a 4-speed Daytona and everything in between... As usual, Wes, Geri and the gang did a great job... To think, John and his wife drove all the way from New Jersey just to work the show........ It was great seeing old friends and meeting new ones......

I just want to put this out, The TDC Charger meet was great!!!! I didn't think I was going to be able to go to this show since my 68 charger is still in the body shop.  :brickwall:

I did not think they would let in the new chargers after all the negative, I read on this site when they were realized. I want those how don't know, these new charger kick Ass.  :D

The 07 SubLime is mine, 3 mouths old and I have already replaced my heads with FRI, Street Strip heads, (flowing 385 CFM with port and polish, One peace stainless Ferra vales, 10-1 compression, and ported-polished chambers, And some 6.1 springs, And FRI SideWinder cam(the Biggest badest cam you can run and keep MDS(4 cylinder mode) JBA heat coated headers with high flow cats, and new Magnfolw exhaust.

What all this means is for a 4500lb car I got 28-26 miles to the gal from Houston to SanAnton (MDS dose work at 100+ ) I was cruising 80ish the whole way. I'm getten 19-22 in town depending on my right foot  :icon_smile_wink: My car is still learning but I just ran a 5.00  0-60 time with tire slip. And the power of this charger is amazing, I'm trying to get to the dyno this weekend, I guy with the same combo as me is pushing close to 398hp and 400torq at the WHEELS  :icon_smile_cool: And if the computers would stop giving up problems The sky is the limit for these new Hemi's :RantExplode:
I know they have 4 doors but it just makes it that more fun when you whoop all over that shinny little Corvette, and Killed 06 Mustang

Sorry for the rant And I know I cant spell

WOW... Great pic's  :yesnod:  Good to see that all the generations were represented and photographed. Of course I like all the Chargers, but I'm a little partial to 1st and 2nd gen's, so I was glad to see so many pictures of them posted here.

Hey Guys! I'm back, sorry I didn't tell anyone I was going but I was wanting to surprise Wes and Geri and I did!! You should have seen the look on ol' We's face when I pulled up his driveway. (you have to know Wes to get this) Tennessee made the trip nary a complant, over 4000 miles again! I have a oil leak and exhaust leak to mend but otherwise we're fine! Great meet awsome cars. Troy the winner of participants choice was a 69 Hemi -B7 blue white top and gut- sorry didn't get his name.  We made the trip home in 2 days and now I am going to crash, more later MPJ
Happiness is having a hole in your roof!

Hey John...

Ahhh, that's right.... Is his name Jerry? Glad you had a safe and carefree return.... I can only imagine Wes' reaction, he doesn't "stir" very easy at all, I'm sure the expression was priceless...

I have some sad news to those of us who knew the Pinkertons from Oklahoma. Jennie Pinkerton passed away Tuesday afternoon at her home. She had been ill for quite some time but as you can see made it to Boerne one last time. We will miss her smile and personality. Her husband is Jerry Pinkerton a man I feel priveledged to know.

Does anyone have any pics of the Honey Gold SE car??  If you don't want to post them, shoot me a PM.

Thanks!
Paul

Paul,
If you mean the one with the white vinyl top in the photo viewed from above, it belongs
to some friends of mine near Waco.  He drives a '73 or '74 Roadrunner that is the same color.
The Charger is his wife's.  I can get you some contact information, if you want.

Wes didn't sound too sure that we would have a Boerne meet next year.  I was also surprised that the cruise was "informal" this year.  ???

In Wes' defense, he's been doing this every year it's been going on.... Maybe someone local could help.. I'm in Houston, so logistically, it could be difficult unless it's all the duties there at the day.. I'll call Wes and ask...... Thanks for the video !!!!

By the way he "thanked" the city of Boerne, I got the impression he has been getting resistance from them.  Maybe another reason why the cruise was "informal" this year?  Makes me wonder if it's time to find another small central Texas city that values our business  ???

I very much appreciate Wes and Geri putting this on every year!  :yesnod:

James,,
I'll check on that.. I know there are many car events throughout the year at the square... Seems we've done our part in keeping the square clean.... Hopefully it'll stay the same or something similar.. The wives love going to this gathering for the shopping....  The informal cruise was just a case of time it takes to get everything lined up to get a large group together and heading out.... So many people are regulars to the show, so I think some just wanna veg out after the heat of the day... I know that was my excuse, especially with Baby Julie I have now... Pool time !!!

To All,

Just wanted to let you know that myself and my family had just returned from a five day vacation in the Big Bend.  We found out about Jennie's passing when we got back yesterday evening on this website.  Blue Pentastar, thank you ever so much for posting that message on the Boerne thread.

I visited with Jerry Pinkerton on the telephone last night, I guess we talked for nearly an half hour.  He said that several of the Charger Registry members had attended Jennie's funeral on Friday, and many others had sent flowers, made phone calls, or many other thoughtful acts.  Jim Rodebaugh has been checking on him at least four times a day and Hap was staying with him until last night.  J.D. lives right down the road and is also checking on him.

Jerry and Jennie were married 47 years, and of course he is devastated.  But Jerry is also a very strong Christian, as was Jennie, and that is helping him immeasurably in pulling through this.  He said several times how much he appreciated the kind thoughts and prayers and to thank everyone.

I would also like to thank XS29 on his compliments concerning Ethan's artistic abilities.  That was very kind.  We had to leave early Sunday before the meet ended as Levi had a function for the Annapolis plebes in San Antonio.

Finally, I want to thank Troy for all the hard work he does on this site.  I don't post very often, but I read the posts whenever I get the chance.  That was how I found out about Jennie.

May God bless America,
