Has anybody else seen a three speed on the column on a charger before?  Is this correct?

I recall a discussion on the old board.  Not too many around like that.

I knew there were some slant 6 three/tree cars. A buddy of mine found one in Tennesse within inches of the road. Old coot won't sell.

I used to own one.  I still have the fender tag around here someplace.  I'll dig it up and post the numbers if you want.

MoparYoungGun

Yep, I have seen ones with both a 225 and a 318. They are fairly rare but aren't very desirable for obvious reasons.

I'd like the tag info for the registry!

So far I only have 1 /6 with a 3 speed on the column

I've seen a 70 318 like that this summer.  I remember seeing a 69 also, but I don't remember where or when (this was years ago).  68s tend to have that more than 69, 70s in my opinion......

I remember a 383 one.I don't think the 383 was org. it was also a bench seat.

I have a 318 3 on the tree.  It's not a 69 but a 73.  For $200 I couldn't pass it up.
When I was just a very young lad I looked up and told my dad, a bareback rider's what I wanna be.  I want the whole world to know about me.  In the rodeo arena I'll make my stand.  I wanna be a rodeo man.  I'll come flyin' from the chute with my spurs up high, chaps and boots reachin' for the sky.  Spurin' wild with my head throwed back, you'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.  You'll ask 'Who's that,' well that's Bareback Jack.

Were 68-70 available with a bench seat?

1970's were on the ultra stripped down models.

Ghoste

Mine had buckets with a mother in law seat.

I'll find that tag for you.  I've been meaning to find it for the registry as well as the other 69's in my past.

I do have photos (I'll have to hunt them out and scan them but I do have them) but just for the record, on the 70 Charger, one of the things that it mentions as a cost cutting measure in the well known magazine ad, "Charger is tickled pink over it's new lower price", is the standard bench seat.

Just 6T9 CHGR

This is from the 70 registry site.

Only 70's were available with the bench seat.
This is a base XH model car.  Notice the painted upper door frames....a real "stripper"

Wow, a 10 year old thread resurrected.  ;D

You know, for a website pretty much dedicated to resurrecting 45+ year old cars, we really seem to hate resurrecting the website itself

That's got to be a record as far as time gap between replies.

10 years 8 months 20 days.

Major hiatus.

and for good reason....Those 3 on the tree Chargers are far & few between.  Welcome to the site!

In my eyes...chargers should only have big engines, make a lot of noise and piss off yuppies in their hybrids. That's a charger...that's why they are in movies as hero cars, not for their base models lol
