So Brian 1hot68 came up from Iowa this weekend and i offered up my garage for his car for the night so he didnt have to leave it in the hotel parking lot.  He brought Aaron 69fuchs with him and along with Timmy Timmy (local member) they got Brians car cleaned up and they helped me get my front bumper on Friday night.   :2thumbs:

Saturday morning we left for the show and met up with Timm coolmite and his 69 6-pak Charger.  Here are some pics from friday night and Sat morning driving to the show.  Its not every day you have 3 Chargers in your garage..   And check out the side view mirror picture, something Steve McQueen would be familiar with :icon_smile_big:

The show had a good turnout and it was perfect weather for most of the day.   :icon_smile_cool:  From left to right are my Red 68, Brians Black 68 and Timm's Black 69.  And an over all view of half the show, its held inside a figure 8 race track.

There was a 69 Camaro there and i didnt see right away what was under the hood.  Another member Chris Tipopiola pointed out to me the obvious  :icon_smile_big:

And here is the future of car shows hard at work on some hub caps.

And a nice looking dart to round out my pictures.  My old roommate has this exact same car so maybe these pics will motivate him to get it finished.   :yesnod:

Nice pics. ive seen pics of that camaro before, i was told he was almost boo-ed out of the show last year when he first starting pulling up. haha

too bad there wont be any chargers in the back to the 50s show, i couldnt get the time off for mopars in the park so i had to accept the back to the 50s show. oh well. still a good show.

I stopped and looked pretty close at all 3 of the cars and they were damn nice!  I couldn't believe the turnout they had today,  I had to park pretty far away because the parking lot was already full at 10:00 this morning.

were we standing along the wall in back of the cars at the time?  You should have said hello!

Troy mxzx440 stopped by and hung out with us for an hour.

There were 2 guys standing behind your car when I stopped by.  The problem was I didn't know who's cars they were at the time otherwise I would have said hello.  For some reason it never even clicked with me that it was your car even though I saw the registration on your dash and it said "Paul from St. Paul".

Thanks for the picks. Wish I could have joined you.

Quite possibly.  When that car pulled in the other guys were trying to figure out what year it was and were shocked to see it as a convertible.  Whats the story on 72 Convertibles?  Did they only make a small number of them?

Mopar coll guide did a story on 72 E-body conv`s.Yup challengers as well.Without digging the issue out,I believe George Barris did the work.Only a small handfull of each were done.

PocketThunder

UFO, Yes that is the Mannix cuda.  Brian and Aaron were here this morning to pick up the 68 and i asked them and they said yes it was the real Mannix cuda.  :yesnod:

Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Great! I went last year an NO ONE showed up... :(

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

HAZZARDJOHN

That sucks, I had a Previous commitment and couldn't go. I talked to that camaro guy last year, and he said (about the Mopar swap) "I fixed it!"

~HJ
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't fix your brakes, but don't worry I made your horn louder."
