I put a Street avenger carb on my motor when I rebuilt it. I am about ready to start the car but I need to make a new like fromt he carb to the fuel pump. I'm not having much luck. I have a small bender but I keep smashing the line. I have the chrome dual line connector on the carb. I just need to bend a line to go under the distributor and turn to the fuel pump so I can attach a rubber hose to it. it sounds simple but I ahve tried four times with no luck. It ends up looking like crap. ANyone have suggestions?

I ran a stainless braided line on mine. I wasn't worried about it being original.

I think you need a new tubing bender.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

Greg at Fabulous Fabrications can make the fuel lines you are looking for.  Call him at 303-666-9882.  He is just south of Boulder, Colorado.  He made the lines for Chris's 69 Charger.  I just ordered lines for my Charger from him today.  He advertises in Mopar Collectors Guide.

His kits are great and fit perfect. I bought 5/16 line for one car, and this car has 3/8 on my 850.
His prices are good, and he usually does not make them until he has your order
and carb intake combo, so he can make sure it will fit your setup perfect.
He runs the same lines on his cars at the track on at least two cars.

I'm sold. I will call him in the morning. I think I am going to hook up a rubber line in the interim so I can get it running this weekend.

Thanks for all the help guys.

I bought mine at auto zone. It has a handle and a loop on the end. It's a piece of crap. Of course it could be me......nah...I'm perfect  :D I have already ruined lengths of line. I'm going to go ahead and order one pre made.

I called the guy about the line today. He seemed very nice and knowledgeable. I will let you guys know what I think once I get the lines. In the meantime I am going to run a rubber line to get it started. Tomorrow my engine will run for the first time since I bought the car 2.5 years ago!!!!!!!!

Don't try to make the 90* bend all at once.  Bend the line about 30* or so and move the liine bender a long the fuel line, just a fraction of an inch.  Then bend it another 30* and repeat.  The bend will be longer and it will not restrict flow.  Try it once and you will be surprised on the results, it only takes practice.

It helps to have a good pipe bender and patience.

good luck
