I'm planning on rebuilding/replacing the master cylinder and the 3 brake hoses.

how do you know when to replace the brake lines???

brake line is cheap, and its easy to bend up the lines yourrself if you know how to do it. so after seeing yourself I would seriously consider replacing those lines. just because those do like pretty crunchy. The one thing I dont like tempting fate with is brake lines. going fast is good, but stopping is better.  ;)

You may find it difficult to get some of the lines apart and even save them when you remove your master cylinder and hoses. Its a good time to go ahead and change them. I bought pre-bent brakelines from Paddock. Right around $100 for all off them. They do ship oversize. I think that was another $40 or so. They did fit good.

If you want to replace your brake or even fuel lines, I highly recommend Fine Lines brake and fuel lines.  Their prebent lines are dead on. :yesnod:

I guess I'd rather make my own rather than spent a bunch of money for lines that they put a nice big bent right in the middle to make the stupid thing fit in the box. then the tags that they put on the lines to tell you were to bent it back, well they arent tight and they slide down the line so you got no idea where to bend and its a major pain in the rear. but to each their own.

thanks Guys, for the advice - I need to save up and do the whole brake system at once

make sure you buy stainless steel brake lines also instead of rubber hoses going to your calipers/drums.

The fine lines stuff is not super expensive and it fits great. Has the correct fittings, etc. as well as the spring-like protection in the right place. Just my $.02.
