Charger brake petal hard as rock, mechanic says need a new brake booster, anyone know best place to get one? I've seen one on ebay

Just 6T9 CHGR

The Midland-Ross style (held together with a clamp) is fairly easy to get.  Came with drum brakes There are several companies repoducing these.

The Bendix style (power disc brake style) is very hard to get  you might be able to buy one outright from http://boosterdeweyexchange.com/

Your booster can be rebuilt.  Check with NAPA to see who they buy boosters from.  Their rebuilder is in Texas.  I just don't recall the name.  They are the other big one besides Cardone.  Those folks in Texas are real nice and they rebuild the Bendix dual diaphram type for around $86 plus shipping.  I don't know about the Midland Ross type but since you can get those all day long, I would just buy a new one of them.  I think MBM out of Asheville, NC has those new.  Or you can get a rebuilt one of those.
