Are there any good electric sanders out here that are good for body work?  I have a DA sander with a crappy compressor and it takes waaayyyy too long to wait for the compressor to catch up  :RantExplode:

I have a Porter Cable random orbital. Got it at Home Depot for around $50. Works pretty good but lower rpm. It is nice not to have to wait for the air to catch up.

I have the same thing, used it to sand down the roof and get the surface rust off.  Works really nice and can be used for other things as well.

Its generally for woodworking applications but I've found it works good on the car body. It's not something a body shop would use to replace their D/A's but good for us do it yourselfers.

I'll give it a shot...thanks!
