I was hoping I could get your guys opinions on a dash that I painted. I purchased a dash for my truck out of a wreck the other day and painted it silver and the vents gloss black. I'm on the fence I like the look of it but at the same time I'm not sure if I should go to the trouble of moving my power outlet from my current dash over the the new one(requires me to drill out the mounts of the old dash to move it) and I would also have to get a different headlight switch because that section of the dash is molded differently so heres a couple pictures hopefully you guys can point me in the right direction. thanks.

The silver one looks better, but won't it reflect in the windshield? That drives me nuts.

I like the silver one but I think you would have been better off with one you didnt have to modify to fit.  I notice the area around the steering column is a different shape as well.  Is that going to cause you any problems?  I think I would just paint your current one and put it back together.   :Twocents:

I'd paint the current one but it's broken. Forgot to mention that. Under hard acceleration the air vents exit the dash rapidly. The steering column shape isn't different to it's just the black one has the rubber piece still on it. I was happy about finding a cheap dash because then I wouldn't need to buy one from the dealer.
