AARGH!! Stupid MP Brake Kit! Booster Doesn't FIT!!!

OK, NOW that I search the forum I realized the stupid booster that comes with the MP disc brake kit doesn't fit.

So far, the kit has gone together really well, but now getting to the booster I realized it doesn't work - no WAY am I going to cut everything up to make this thing fit. I would like to have something that looks a little more stock.

I've used the search and I see lots of questions but not a ton of answers.

So, 3 questions

1. Can I use the stock Single Diapram Booster with my disc brakes? I see that MBM reproduces the single-diaphram Midland Ross style booster.
2. Does anyone now have the Bendix Style? Will that work?
3. Can I use the master cylinder that came with the MP brakes kit with the new booster?

Any other suggestions? PLEASE help! This one is killing me!

I also bought the MP brake kit and installed with no problems.  I did not buy the power booster since I have heard of problems getting it to fit.  I used the master cylinder from the kit I got from MP, and bought a bendix booster from PartsAmerica.com for around 119.00 This is the stock booster style that came with front discs.  The booster I recieved even has the stamped chrysler logo in it since it is rebuilt.  I think that is a great price considering the options for aftermarket boosters.  I would not use a single diaphragm on a disk setup.  Hope this helps.

Is this the booster you got? this is the unit I got, then I used the Hemi style Bendix booster.

Yes that's exactly what I got. Where did you get the bendix booster? Did you use the same Master Cylinder?

THanks!

I got lucky as hell, I called a brake booster rebuild shop in California, after
trying many other shops. They did have one on the shelf, and they were
willing to sell it to me as well, it was already rebuilt, and they only charged
me $200.00 not even a core charge.

They are a dual diaphragm unit, I used a standard disc brake master.
This combo will work on power drum or power disc, I still need to
install my disc brakes  ::) ::)

A friend of mine is a power seller on ebay, you may know Tom, he had
one of these boosters for sale starting bid $499.99, I did not follow the
auction, so I am not sure what it went for, I can check to see if he
still has it if you want?

Man!! Well, if anyone has one (even to be rebuilt) I could sure use it.

Explain again why I couldn't use the single diaphram one again? It doesn't fit? I'm not sure I understand why it wouldn't work.

Thanks!

I don't see a major reason you can't run a single diaphragm booster, I know lots of A-Bodys
came with single diaphragm boosters with disc brakes. I like the extra capacity, and an
extra diaphragm when doing the job one time. I just have not had the luck with the
single diaphragm version as the dual diaphragm booster.

I am not sure why you will need to cut your car up to make the MPB booster fit.
What they told me ''and others'' is the hole on the brake pedal rod might need
to be enlarged. I was told mine would bolt right in, you just have to have two
people, one to hold the bolts on the outside and for the nuts on the inside.

Mike ''472 RT SE'' has that MPB setup, you may PM him for installation.

The reason that booster went for so much was because it was a Hemi only booster.......from the front, visually it looks the same but the rear mounting studs are offset & larger in diameter for a Hemi car application only.....

www.boosterdewey.com sells the boosters outright at times
