Uninstalling a program

Im trying to uninstall this game "Driver" but it says the log file is not valid or the data has been corrupted. Uninstallation will not continue.
I just want to unistall it but it won't let me. How do I remove it?

If you have Windows ME or XP try using system restore to go back to a restore point before that program was installed

I want to help you. Have you been through the whole remove/install program deal on your control panel??

yes, that's what happens. Says I can't unistall due to corrup or missing log.

You need to reinstall or go to add/remove programs, highlight the game, click the change/remove button and it should ask you to choose an option of automatic (uninstall), custom (uninstall parts), or fix. Click fix. You might have to put the game CD into the CDROM drive. After then you should be able to uninstall it properly.

I upgraded from girlfriend 1.0 to wife 4.0 and i've been trying to un-install the program for 6-1/2 years now!

Ive got some old games and programs like that too that I dont know how to get rid of.  Its a problem when you dont have the software anymore to re-install it.

If thats the case then all you can do is search for the missing file online or do a hard uninstall using the delete button!

I did that, still won't let me uninstall.

You probably already tried this, but fully re-install the game then try to un-install it.

Unfortunately when it gets to that point, that is the what you have to do.  There is one more thing to do to get rid of it fully but that's only and I MEAN ONLY IF you feel comfortable editing the registry.  If not, then I would just do that and let it be.  Unless of course you want to completely reload your computer.....

After you hard delete the program from program files download a free "Registry Fix" program that should get rid of any unwanted or unneeded registry files.

That's true.  Forget about those somedays....
