I am now a big Gene Simmons fan

I have been watching the Gene Simmons family Jewels TV show on and off for the past couple of years. I have always been impressed at how well mannered and well spoken his two children are. He seems to have defied the normal Rock and Roll stereotype.  He really does seem to be a first class guy. Tonight I was watching the show and he took his daughter to Camp Pendleton for a mini boot camp experience. Later they went to visit some Vets at a VA Hospital. It was nice to see someone honor our military without the usually bashing. I am sure some might disagree with me but I have a new respect for Gene Simmons and his family.  :yesnod:

Welcome to the club.  What took so long?

Yeah Simmons is a cool guy, EXTREMELY intelligent. Very well spoken. ANd treats his fans well.

Although I've never been a KISS fan, I've always enjoyed listening to, or seeing an interview with Gene Simmons. He's a fun character who's pretty intellegent. I even liked his acting in the role of the villian in that Tom Selleck movie years ago. The one with the mechanical spiders, I forget the name of that movie.  :shruggy:

He's even got a dog too.  :D

The movie is "Runaway" Awsome movie. Gene is probably one of the smartest guys in music. Not many can speak 6 different languages fluently.

I have been a huge KISS fan since I was 15. I watch Genes show every Sundy night. He is a very bright man, one of the smartest in the business. Hard to believe the man was a school teacher before the make up.

And...in comparison with some other legendary musicians who shall remain nameless.....You can tell that Gene Simmons was never into drugs like some others were.   Yes...they indulged in alcohol somewhat  (Alcohol led Ace Frehley to somewhat of a demise) but for the most part drugs were not part of Kiss' everyday life.   The same with Ted Nugent,  who never touched drugs OR alcohol in his life.  Just a fact I'd thought I'd share, but you probably already knew this.   Now....Keith Richards???   Yeah....He's done a drug or two.....lol   (OOPS.....did I say that out loud?)

Yeah, it's kinda cool going to Smoking gun and checking out the "riders' that musicians have for their performances. Kiss doesn't have any booze but those boys like to EAT!!!!!!

Last night's episode of Family Jewels was fantastic. It was amazing to me to see the "Rock God" and Fire spitting demon crying more than once while meeting the wounded soldiers and then during that concert when he took off his "@$$hoe glasses".  I always liked the band but now especially since this series started, I REALLY have a tremendous respect for them and Gene in particular.

To be able to stay in the relationship he has for 24 years, and raise what look to be two really great kids, speaks VOLUMES for the guy. The way he treats family and fans alike is truly a rarity in this day and time.

Yep...My point exactly. It's too bad more celebrities aren't like him.

God of Thunder is a stud.  I was a huge KISS fan growing up having bought every LP that came out.  Gene stole that Runaway show with his performance.  I haven't seen this reality show but once.  Truly amazing to have scored Shannon and have the relationship last.
Years ago on the Monsters of Rock Tour my brother and I got seats right up front and with one of my fist pumps in the air Gene and I made eye contact, I always thought that was cool.

Up to about '82, I had every single album they made. Then I got a little bored with them & sold my collection to a neighbor kid before we moved away...that was one of the dumbest things I've ever done. :brickwall:

When I saw Runaway, I remember thinking that this would probably launch Gene into being a movie star. I was surprised when he didn't do more movies, anyone know why? Maybe he just had too much going on at the time. I had no idea he was doing this show until about a month ago, when I saw a preview somewhere. The title sounds like Gene, for sure.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Tell you what, If I was married to that, I would stay too.  even though she's a bit older now, shannon tweed is so smokin hot.  I used to love the soft core porn she did on playboy channel.

and Gene is one militant mf!!  Most Israelis have that no nonsense attitude.  you need to fight, you fight... no debate, you just do it when you have to.

KISS Army baby!!!

I did not think that they were married :scratchchin:. I think that Gene is allowed to get some strange now and then.  :apimp:
That is how it lasted so long. I have every KISS record to date on vinyl LP, even Ace's solo stuff. Frehley's Comet rocks. :yesnod:
