headlight doors open funny

i recently put all of my hidden headlight set up on a different bumper and now that it's back together they do not open at the same time....i was wondering if maybe i installed the motor wrong...is that even possible? i know the motor doesn't work, but i could always open and close it manually just fine...any help is great

im just curious, once they have opened are they both fully open? or is one more open than the other? what about when you close them?

I dont see how they could not open at the same time since they are both controlled by the same motor?  Maybe one is binding somewhere.  I would unhook the rod and make sure they both open and close freely.  Check the springs too.
