A/C compressor - repair or buy?

My 68 has A/C, and when I got the car it would blow nice & cold but the compressor would damn near shake the car apart when it was running.  I don't know much about these compressors, but I assume they are rebuildable...does anyone know if there are parts available?  Or would I have to cannibalize a junkyard compressor and hope to get lucky.  Also, I saw this ad on ebay.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=7999010407&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT  ..... anyone have any experience with these guys or their parts?  Is $175 worth it?
