Went done to the shop today. Picked up the taillights. Shelby is polishing them this weekend. Wow, this car is bright. And the pics don't do it justice. The prismatic flake really sparkles in the sun light. Troy said it will at night , with street lights too. I can't wait til Shelby sees it. Sorry guys she isn't going with the photoshop version. But thanks ds4440 you did help her picking the color. Troy talked her into letting him paint strips so everything could be clearcoated. She better like it cause she's stuck with it now.

Jack said it's messing with his TV when it's sitting outside.

How could she not?  It looks great!
It's not done , yet. The stripes on the hood and the spoiler are gonna be a lighter pink. :ahum:

I'll still stand by my statement.  The car is coming along just fine and I can't imagine a 17 year old girl not wanting to be seen in it.  I've shown the pics to both of my daughters (who are only 7 and 10 but still...) and they have both basically responded with a "Wow!  Dad I want a car just like that"  So there you go.

Thank you. I won't worry anymore since your daughters like it. :icon_smile_big:

Yeah, but OTOH, they also think cheesy noodles and cookies are a balanced diet.  :D

Is there any kind of flex agent on the bumpers. I have a car were it was not done and it cracked over time. Just wondering.

I sure there is. Troy knows what he's doing. He and Jack have been in business for a long time. And the paint is guaranteed.

I wish I had birthdays like that - when I was 17!   (even if they do last 20 years) hee hee

Ghoste

No kidding!  If I had something like that when I as 17 I wouldn't have wanted anything for 20 years.

My dad sold me he his car when I was 16...

after I wrecked it.

My daughter wants me to get the paint recipe for that colour.

But she wants to drive my 71 New Yorker..... :apimp:

I think there's going to be some long discussions about this.

It's Panther Pink, and Troy just lightened it for the stripe. He also put prismatic flake in the last coat of clear. Awwww come on it's a girly color. :D

jasonfromIKILLYA

cool.  all it needs is a nice set of rims.  those stock ones just won't look right.
