Ok...

To me I think its irrelevant as to If she has the right to enter the property or not.

The state and laws of the country have a due process.

Lets assume the guy was putting in a septic system, he would have to go threw the code/permit

process to do it. The State or county also must have some sort of process for entering a property

to inspect that they are within code and have a permit.

What I see here is people in powerful "civil servant" positions make VERY bad decisions.

Starting with.

A) The lady not clearly stating who she is and what she is.

B) The Lady not clearly stating the reason for her visit.

C) The police officer obviously is clueless as to what his duty is.

D) The police officer is also unsure of the Countys legal rights as he didnt enter the property.

E) They should have showed him paperwork that permits them access to the property.

Bottom line they have a job to do and are doing it BADLY.

Reguardless if they have the legal right to enter they should both be removed from their positions

for being clueless.

As far as the "wacko" labeling for the home owner Im not sure thats fair. Hes just a man who feels like he

is right and the police are helping somebody illegally (in his eyes) enter his property. If it where you, how would you

feel?

Come up with some paperwork and this all could be avoided.
