2007 Kent, WA Dodge Charger meet-What Dates?

Hi All,

I would like to set a date for the 2007 Western, WA meet for this site. I was thinking the best weather would be last two weeks of July or month of August.

The biggest issue is to make sure it doesn't conflict with another Mopar show or local significant car show.

Can you guys give me dates of conflicting car shows you already know about so I can avoid them?

I am thinking about seeing if we can have it at the new Kent Station complex. Would be a neat setting and would get us a lot more spectators.

What do you think?

Is that what it was? You kept it secret but I guess someone found out! :icon_smile_cool:

Mark,

I'm hoping to come again but like you said it's hard to compete with other dates. Plus it seems like it's either 125-degrees or raining. Dan would probably be the one to ask about the dates of other shows.

70charginglizard

Well now that the lizard isn't overheating like it was last year, I should be able to make it this time.

That was definately stressing me out last season. all fixed now.  :icon_smile_approve:

I say August would be a good time frame to me.

Hey Mark.  We're lucky you're taking this on again, kudos to ya'.

I haven't found a schedule of events down here yet but I'm still lookin'.  This one http://carcalendar.wetpaint.com/ doesn't show Sunbust.  But it's a start.
I'll see if I can get some goodies from my Ma's dealership.  They're moving her job to Austin so this may be the last time I'm able to get Free stuff.  :-\  She's been with Chrysler for 20 years now.
I heard the Seattle club moved the Bellevue show to XXX this year.  Only 2 years back at the college.  No swap meet at XXX tho from what I heard, bummer.  I can make almost anytime except there's a possiblity I'm going on the Hot Rod Power Tour.

Mike,

Do you know when that Seaside show is?? I know that one draws a lot of people, and I don't want to miss it this year.

Yep, Chris moved the Seattle Mopar Meet at BCC to the XXX, because BCC went from $1,500 to $3,000 for
the same weekend, same stalls, same everything. That is double the price in one year for the same
exact thing, and the same old crappy sloping, very steep, parking lot.

The date will be moved about a month or more toward better weather as well.

No swap meet will be a big problem, trust me.............

Well, it looks like the first weekend in May is now available!       ;D

Curtis,

I went to the Muscle Beach Cruise in Seaside two years ago. It is fun. The cars line the street for the whole day on Sat. Then they do the cruise around the prom (and thru the streets) and they announce your car. If your car can't get wet don't bring it to this show (June on the Oregon Coast --- go figure!). Superbird Jeff who lives by me always brings his low mileage Limelight bird and takes a high place.

Teresa and I are thinking about going again this year. We stay at a nice little B&B in town called the Gilbert Inn. She scrapbooks and I talk cars   :icon_smile_big:

Dane was there with the Daneclona a couple of years ago.

I think Dane was there last year too. In fact I called him on the phone to ask when the show was and found out he was in Seaside at the show when I called. :icon_smile_angry: So much for planning ahead. Summer always sneaks up on me.

Hotrodarama in Tacoma is usually the 1st weekend in Aug...........Goodguys end of July......I'll be at both of those w/ my hotrod........
I may go to a Charger meet if it involves something more than just sitting around in a *sigh* lawn chair.......

I am considering trying to get the main street of the Kent Station.

I always like to end the Charger meet with a short Cruise so all the Chargers can "exercise" a little.

Why not try for the weekend of Crackle fest/ Nostolgic Drags at Bremerton. They fire up the old Hemi cars at about 7 or 8 at night and they have a car show on Saturday. We could cruise over and and watch them fire the old Dragsters and Funny cars. :icon_smile_cool:

triple_green

Kent Station wants our show. But their main street is still owned by the City of Kent. They will try and get us permission to park the cars there for the day and not get "ticketed". Unfortunately, I have not found the city of Kent very easy to work with in matters like this before.

How does Saturday August 4th sound to you guys?

Just curious if any of you guys are gonna make the Charger Registry meet Aug. 24-26 in Eureka Ca. since the reason it's being held so far away from us is so you northern owners can make it?

Thanks for doing this again Mark.

Dan, how is the Bellevue Mopar show supposed to FIT at XXX in Isaquah, isn't it about 1/40 the size or something?  not counting the parking, which is abundant at Bellevue college, and none at XXX, seems there were a lot of people taking up huge amount of parking at Bellevue, and the car areas were huge.  XXX is very very small in comparison,

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

There's this one you linked above: http://www.dodgechargerregistry.com/2007%20eureka.htm which takes place on August 25-26 in Eureka, and it coincides with the one listed on this site's calendar here: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php?action=calendar (after you select August '07) and when you click on one of those dates on the calendar it takes you back to the link I posted above: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,19763.0.html in which you posted this link: http://www.dodgechargerregistry.com/2007%20eureka.htm
