do these look different or is it me?

these 2 69 grill's look different. the one on the top looks smaller then the one on the bottom.

One is sitting upside down.  That combined with the angle of the photograph makes the one in the top of the photo look different than the one on the bottom.

Uh, one is disassembled - see the huge gaps between sections? Then there's the fact that one is behind the other. Pay attention in art class.

  They look different to me. One is really beat up, the other is only slightly beat up.

I think he's absolutely right, the one on top does look smaller. Maybe it was off a car form down south as opposed to one up north? If it was out in the sun & heat for a longer period of time it might shrink.

 it's a trick perspective, the grill in the foreground is on a slight rise,.. the view is "foreshortend"... in other words an optical illusion..
