It was quick because it was staged from the beginning. I could care less about John Scheider, but if I was a fan of his, I wouldn't be anymore. Maybe it's his manager that pulled the stunt, but either way, it was never real to begin with.

I had that same feeling in the back of my mind of a publicity stunt...but I would think John would be a better person than that.  I am still hoping he is, but that small feeling will stay there.

He hasn't got a history of pulling any stuff like that, and he's been a good guy to the DOH/GL hobby. 
So he gets the benefit of the doubt in my mind.

With technology today you could do a recording in no time.

even faster if you are doing the "Weird Al" version of somebody elses song.

I could do a  song in a few hours (granted it would suck) and I would have to start from zero.

And I would suspect John has a studio of some sort already.
