Something traditional Japanese

A redneck (let's call him Smith) and one Japanese had conversation about different things.
Suddenly Japanese said to Smith: "Let me show you something traditional Japanese!"
"OK, no problem" was an answer. The next thing was that Japanese beat the poor guy so Smith went to hospital.
After recovery he asked Japanese "What the hell was that?"
"That was karate, our traditional martial art"
Few days later they met again and Japanese said: "Can I show you one more of Japanese tradition?"
Smith was suspicious but at the end he agreed " OK, why not."
And the Japanese beat him again.
After return from hospital Smith asked: "Hey, man why you did that? You bet the hell out of me again!"
"That was Jujitsu, our other tradition martial art"
Than Smith said to Japanese guy "Let me show you something typical Japanese!"
And Japanese asked "Don't be funny, how you can show me anything typical Japanese? OK, do that."
The thing Japanese was aware is that he was in the hospital bed and Smith was there on visit.
"Hey Smith, what was that? What happened to me?" Japanese asked.
"That was half-shaft of Toyota, part of Japanese car!"
