Local Radiator! C body?? fits B-Body??

Hi Guys.  Still in need of a radiator for my 69 (440).....  This one is for sale locally....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190110816703&rd=1,1

I want to go back to the factory shroud and I think this radiator would work for me.  I looked up the part number and it was for a 67 C body???? w/air conditioning and high altitude.  Does that make sense??

Any comments/ideas?  The only other alternatives would be PepBoys (they quoted $216 for a copper brass) and Year One (US Radiator out of california).

Looks to be in good shape.  Dont think a 69 b body style shroud will work though.  The studs look too far apart

Ahhhh.....good catch 6T9.  I guess that narrows it down to PepBoys or YearOne.  Not too sure what PepBoys has to offer.  They said the manufacture was "Wells", ever heard of them?

My understanding is that the radiator for the 70 Charger is available from Modine.  The 69 and down ones are not available from them.  I don't see why you don't just order one from US Radiator in California if you want a brass radiator that fits a 69.  They are pretty reasonable and they supply Year One.  You can order from them directly and get it cheaper.  But I think the 70 radiator will bolt in more or less OK in a 69.  You may have to drill a hole and deal with the shroud issue.  Also, Griffin has an aluminum unit with Mopar tanks on top and bottom.  Not sure of the price on it.  Don't spend any money at Pep Boys.  They are worthless.  Get it from someone else if you buy a radiator locally.  I think there is a listing in the phone book where you can order any radiator being manufactured by the normal aftermarket suppliers wholesale and have it drop shipped to you overnight.  I have done this.   In fact, what I have also done is call them, get the price, then go to the local cooling parts warehouse and deal with them.  Ask what they can sell one for then if its more than you can have it drop shipped to your house, see if they will match the price.  I have got them to do this.  I still had to pay the local tax but at least I was supporting a local business.  Good luck.

Modine discontinued that style about 4 years ago :rotz:

Wow!  Just got off the phone with US Radiator.  They have several options for our car (26"):

1.  3 row (2" core width) $352
2.  4 row (2-5/8" core width) $394
3.  Tripple Flow $584.00  <--probably for a race application
4.  High efficiency 4 row (same # tubes as 5 row but closer together) $482

My head is spinning here.  My motor is basically stock with an Edelbrock performer dual plane intake and cam.  I'm thinking about going with #2.  Any ideas...... anyone?  Thanks!

My Charger has the 4 core from US Radiator. Back in '99 it was $274   :D

$274!!  Wow.  Prices sure have gone up!  I'm leaning towards the 4 core because my car does have air condition (not functional.....yet).  I like what Chatt had to say about drop shipping.  I'll also check the phone book.
