Well I guess it had to happen given the design....saw a new Charger TAXI today.......yes....a real honest to god taxi. In downtown Toronto in the Financial district. I've also seen new 300s as taxis as well.

belive it or not, Taxis are used here in San Francisco  and in New York for long term durability testing... here the Company "Desoto" has been testing Pacificas, Durangos, Caravans, 300s and even Jeep Libertys, as soon as they become avail. some times before I see the civilian versions.. I ain't seen no Char,... err,.. Magnum sedans though...  :-\

I still haven't seen one on the road. Not one. They must not be popular here in the NW. Apparently we have good taste. :icon_smile_cool:

Well, somebody did have a post up here a couple of weeks ago comparing it to a Checker cab so it must be a natural huh?

Haven't seen any around here. All we have are older Crown Vics, most of them ex cop cars. There are a couple Dodge Minivans too. I can't picture a new 300, Charger, or Magnum as a taxi.

Well someones buying them. I north of Toronto somewhat near where they are built (Brampton Ont) and I know a couple people that work there. They claim they are building a whack of them and have strong orders still in the hopper. Maybe between the cab companies and rental car compainies they do have a place for the Chargagnum! Just not in my driveway!!!!!

Of course, with DCX being a strike target for the union right now, it's also very likely that they are building a whack of them just for the sales bank and they are all being trucked to parking lots for now.

As Sydmoe said - they are building a shitload of cars at that plant in Brampton, ON.  I also have a friend that works there and they are running at capacity (24 hours / 3 shifts) and they build 1200 cars per day - a combination of Charger's, Magnum's & 300's.  They have been doing this since the begining of 2005.

There seems to be more cars than they know what to do with.  If you ever drive by the old Downsview Airport you will see thousands of these cars sitting there, waiting for shipment.

I've seen about 8 on the road around here. There are three on a dealer's lot that I pass every night going home and they haven't moved in over a month now. I would be hard pressed that someone parks them in the identical spot, in the identical order every day. Of the ones on the road over half are the silver and only one red one. I would have thought red or black to be the most popular colors.

They can box them all up and send them to Germany as far as I'm concerned.

Wouldn't that be a hate crime?

We just got the damn Crown Vics.  2 civilian Chargers, 4 at the dealership, last time I checked.  One of the V-6 models had a sale pending, so there are probably 3 on the road around here now.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.
