I'm looking for the most knowledgable person on this messageboard about the '71 Chargers. Someone preferably who actually owns one or several ('71's), and can tell all the little differences between the sub models (500, SE, R/T, etc). Like if I bought a '71 Charger 500 that had been modified and through many owners, they would be able to see the car in person and tell me everything incorrect about the car, down to the little details, so I could get it back to 100% factory correct.

Anyone on here or anyone know anyone like this?

Or another possibility would be if I was building a model car, and i wanted to make it super accurate. But it seems like no one is willing to promote themselves for this job...

maybe its because we all know just certain aspects of these cars well, but are not total experts on every aspect.  If I were you, I would contact that guy who has that 71 Hemi Superbee that is a two fender tag option car.  He has had the car since 78 I believe and knows all the ins and outs on it.  His car has been shown in MM and Mopar Action, as well as MCG.  He is on the Chrysler Classic series alot.  I met him and he is pretty knowledgeable.  I for one can go through and tell you what was offered and not offered, but I am not too technical on the overspray stuff and whatnot.  Why, i dont care.

I have four 71 Charger R/T's  and three 71 Superbees.  I am looking to get two complete R/T's by next week.  I also had a few 500's and SE's too.  Does that count as several?

My buddy Jimmy Boros knows alot about the Charger 500's than anyone I know.

Okay, maybe I went a bit too far. Don't need to know all the overspray stuff and grease rubbings. Just need to find someone to authenticate a diecast model, make sure stuff like the console looks correct, dash is laid out correctly, taillights, etc, and has all correct options for it's model (500, SE, R/T, etc). What is this guy's contact info with the '71 Hemi car?

If interested, or if you have a low mile factory original, or restored to original '71 Charger near Illinois to take photos of that would be exellent also, just email me with your name phone number.

Jimmy lives in Minnesota.  There is also David Hakim from Mopar that has a 71 Green matching numbers Hemi R/T.  He is at the Centerline, Michigan Mopar Depot.  It would be cool to ask him.

I have a friend in Capac, Michigan that has each 71 Charger model.  They are nice vehicles too.

Are they going to make a 1:18 scale model?  I have been waiting for one for years!

But the $100,000 question is................. Are you planing to part out these cars or are they keepers?

Jon, is this to create a trivia contest somewhere else or to create a 71 Ertl Authentic like the 66 you just helped with?

FastbackJon

I still haven't got any emails from anyone. So I guess no one is interested?
