Sorry guys, but more people seem to respond on the general forum
So I just got a 68 charger and was wondering
what works best for getting the emblems back on the side, the Charger emblems are off and I noticed there is a small plug that fits into the whole so that the emblem doesn't fall off...is this a year one part or .....?

Scroll about 1/3 down and look for Emblems/Nameplates : 1968 B-Body Dodge. Although you may want to try ebay too.

The emblems have two studs on the back that press through those holes and then a pair of 'speed nuts' go on the studs to hold them in place. The bad news is if your headliner is already in place it will have to be peeled back to install the nuts.

And as far as I know those Charger script emblems are still available by order from your local Dodge dealer if you need them, at least they were about two years ago. The part number is 2841886 and they usually sell for about $32-$35 each.

??? No, the emblems are $35 each. I don't know how much those other doohickeys cost.

You could also look for the "little doohickeys" at a swap section during a car show..someone is bound to have some.  I know we found a place that has all those kind of nuts and bolts and such at the Van Nuys show.

Here are the part numbers from Year One:

FD717 Roof emblem, 1969 Charger models, new Chrysler.  $51.00 (BTW, whenever you see a part no. preceded by FD in the Y1 catalogue it means "from dealer" and is still available from your local Dodge dealer unless Y1 bought that part out).

Use 2 emblem retainers (# FJ343) for installation, sold as a set of 5 for $7.80, four for the emblems and one for dropsies.
