I'm sorting through a bunch of junk after my return home and came across 6 boxes of baseball cards 1989-1994 I got from my dad after he passed on. So my question is; are there any value to them and what is the best way to sell them?  They seem to be complete sets.
I was keeping them because they were from my dad but I'd rather sell the cards and buy car parts to remember him by.

Thanks

Why not save them in an airtight bag, like the Space Bags you bought from that infomercial. Maybe one of our grandkids someday will be into Baseball Cards? and it's a good way to remember ol pop-pop!!!

Most of the time from what I remember..Look through all the cards.. and find rookies ..if you can find like Ken Griffy JR rookie cards they go for pretty good money..Get a baseball card pricing book..or like the above posting..save them for sentimental value
Earth. Even the word sounded strange to me now... unfamiliar. How long had I been gone? How long had I been back? Did it matter? I tried to find the rhythm of the world where I used to live. I followed the current. I was silent, attentive, I made a conscious effort to smile, nod, stand, and perform the millions of gestures that constitute life on earth. I studied these gestures until they became reflexes again. But I was haunted by the idea that I remembered her wrong -Solaris

I have a bunch of them in a tub in the attic of my garage too. early to mid 90s stuff. I have a whole bunch of Kirby Puckett autographed cards. Ebay or the local comic/sports shop is your best bet! IMO hang onto them! Your kids would love to have them one day!

There may be a few cards in there that are worth a few bucks. But, by the time the late 80s and 90s came along, all the speculators were in the market and there are millions of these cards, all mint and all sitting in plastic sheets and binders.

Old cards are worth more because most of them ended up in bike spokes or your rmother threw them away. The demand is high but the supply is very limited.

The supply for the 80s and newer cards is plentiful.

Keep them for sentimental value.

Most likely the cards you have aren't worth more than $50-$100 for all. Those are the down years of baseball.

If you are going to sell them, sell them as complete sets....but make sure they are complete!
If you are going to sell them individually (this goes for complete sets as well) pick up a Beckett Baseball Card Monthly magazine and check prices.
I have over 10,000 cards. I have Topps complete sets from 1985-2006. I have 3 cards that are 1888 Old Judge.
I am going to burden, or make my daughter rich, when I am on my way out.
If you are not into baseball cards and your kids are not as well, then sell.
Every year has a rookie that will be worth a few bucks.

Thanks again!

What years are they and are they the complete sets? I know a few card collectors out there that MIGHT be interested.
