Hey Gang..
I have a '69 Dodge Charger 500 with 4-speed... I want to get a fresh shifter on it, but I was looking to see if Hurst had a factory OEM replacement. I know they can rebuild my original, but I don't want any down time (who would when you have a 4-speed car). I'll put the fresh one in and get the original rebuilt...

Thanks...
PS: I'm trying to get a hold of HURST and ask them. But, I thought I'd ask for personal experience or knowledge first.

Hey Troy!!!

You might try talking with Wayne Brewer - he probably has rebuilt units sitting on the shelf that he'd probably swap out with you.  That's who I used on my R/T, although I had him send me a Hurst Competition Plus shifters rather than the stock style.

Just a thought...

Yep, that's good ol' Wayne Brewer:

A MCG magazine from last year shows that he had rebuilt Hurst shifter mechanisms (exchange) for $99.  Probably about the same price.
