Help with Pertronix Ignitor ignition

I purchased a reman distributor, and put the Pertronix unit in it that came out of my old dist. In order for the two wires (one black; one white) to fit through the rubber grommit on the dist. I has to cut the leads on the wires and now can't remember which goes to which.
Does the black wire go to the negative side of the coil?
Where does the white wire go?
Do both go to the coil? If so, which color to which polarity?

Black would go to the - coil terminal , White / usually Red goes to 12v switched ign.... Not + coil terminal
