DAMN!!!! I WANT TO BUY. I'm searching the money with parents and a cousin to buy it. Seller aclaims to have 440 rebuilt ready to fit in, and everything there, just missed driveshaft and steering column. with 16" Rims and new tires never mounted. Seller states electric windows, but dunno. I'm trying to contact.

Is selling because he will move out the country

It does look column shifter, so should it be 727.

What should it be the VIN for an 68 R/T with 440 ?

Body job made from sheetmetal, not just paint over old paint.

price... in US$ around 7K

haven't seen personally since is abut 5 hours from me

VIN for a '68 Charger R/T with a 440 should begin with XS29L8...,  followed by a letter for the assembly plant, mine has a B, then 6 digits.  L is the code for the 440, J would be a 426 hemi, any other code isn't an R/T.

I'd say that's a great deal for $7K - buy it now!!!  My '68 R/T was originally silver like this one.

Good luck,

Doug
