Can all the information about the Fast and the Furious '70 Charger be posted in this topic? I want to know everything about the car, just like the General Lee.

* Who bought/build/converted the car(s) for the movie?
* How many Chargers where used?
* What are the specification of the used cars? (reality and movie wise)
* Where are the car(s) now?

Please post al you knowledge, trivia, screen-shots, photo's of the real car(s) etc.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That's because the Charger was loud in the mean&scary way..as opposed to a 4-banger with a fart-cannon that's loud in the annoying weed-wacker way  :icon_smile_big:

Here's another question, why was he taking the Charger for a spin after learning the undercover cop dude was a cop?  Was the Charger so fast, he was going to be able to go backwards in time and undo all his evil acts?
It probably explains that in the movie but I'd have to watch it again.

JMF

Good point although I don't think there was another car available for him to go off in, it's weird also that he was about to take the car for a drive even before Brian showed up, and eariler in the film he said he had never ever driven it because he was too scared, so on his first drive in it he wheelied it then crashed it in to a train, i'm sure his old man was well proud(Sarcasm)

1BAD68

I thought he took it out because the Chinese guys shot his buddy, so he went after them in the Charger. Then the cop went after them too, when they finished them off, the cop and the Charger coincidently met up at the stop light.

I just read this at http://www.volocars.com/news15.html

QuoteThe chase ends in an unbelievable stunt. A semi-truck smashes into the Charger, causing the muscle car to flip several times. Although the stuntman walked away, the Charger hasn't been driven since. See this piece of Hollywood history before it undergoes a complete restoration.

Yes he is. He makes a short cameo at the very end of the movie.

"Volo, IL - The supercharged 1969 Dodge Charger driven by Vin Diesel in the blockbuster film "The Fast and The Furious" is now on permanent display at the Volo Auto Museum."

It was a 1970 CHARGER!!!  NOT A '69!
