Thought I'd give a heads up to the members over there. I was givin' full site administrator duties and I been running the site since mid last year because the owner is/was going through a very bitter and mean divorce. Late last year, the brother of the owner called me, and talked to me for about a hour. He told me that JC was in a mental hospital (I won't tell the details I was told), and I was told to do what I could for the site like I already was. Late January, JC logged in for a short time, tried calling me (but I was in the shower), and has been MIA ever since. I was on the forum yesterday and could notice a few things were not right. Then last night I got a email from one of the members that he could not get into the site, and asked me if I knew what was up. So, I tried again, and got in. Then I deleted the site "cookies" from my computer, and tried again, since then, all I get is the "Can not find server" page saying the site is unaccessible. This is the similar thing that happened when the original D-C.com went down as I remember it. Some of us could get in, and some couldn't. It is a matter of time before you or anyone else will not be able to get in either. I know the yearly dues were coming up because he started the site around May 2005. Right now, I am sure the site is just suspended, and that is why some can still get in. Once the suspension time ends, it will be deleted. I did what I could, and knew this time was coming. I would start a new '71-'74 only site, but I'm not sure how to start a site like that from scratch, and or hosting it. That, and now that I am working, I don't have the time to do it all myself. I would be interested in doing it if one of you computer savoy 3rd gen guys is up to it however. I do have a good working name for one.

If I do figure out how to make a homepage and stuff it will be basic, a black backround and white lettering. I could also start one of those free forums.

That is what the third gen site was, and it did have issues a lot of you guys didn't know about. I would rather go a little better if I make another one, so there is a way to up load pictures. I'd realy like to do one using the same layout we got here on Troy's site. Once everything is set up, I can do pretty much everything else.

Darn, and I posted a new thread there tonight with lots of pics. I wonder if I can link to that?

Well, I got in, but it is still not running right. Slow, and some of the sight pics aren't showing up (not pics we posted). It's dying a slow death.

Yup, I was right, his domain name expired. But the forum is a free forum, so that is okay for now. I'm not going to wait for anything to happen though. I did start working on a new forum. It's called 1971-1974 Dodge Charger. Once I get it set up right, I'll get a domain name for it. Here is the link for now. http://wichargerguy.proboards101.com/

Well....I know a little nit about designing webpages, just basic stuff, but I'm told by others they look good. As for a forum, that part is pretty easy. Just use a Ninemsn forum and away you go.

Bummer...even if I didn't post much.
Same here...even if I hadn't logged on for many moons.

I hope your new site goes well for ya Pete, don't let it end up sending you to the mental hospital though. :D  (sorry if that was an inappropriate joke :icon_smile_tongue: )

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)
