What were the high impact colors available you could get your charger in from 68-70?

Rocky

I think the High Impact colors started in the 70 model year.

The first real special colors started in 69

R4 Scorch Red/Charger Red
V2 Hemi Orange

In 70 they were

Hemi Orange, Lime green, Lemon Twist yellow, Rally REd, Plum Crazy, Blue fire metallic. Probably a couple I have missed but you can go here

I like that NONE DOCUMENTED 999 Orange better than GO MANGO from that picture.

Rally Red & Blue Fire were never considered High Impact colors. Heres what was , Plum Crazy, Sublime, Green Go, Panther Pink, Top Banana, Curious Yellow(71 color). Go Mango, Hemi Orange, Bright Green Metallic & Butterscotch were mid 69 colors. LEON.

There are actually several 999 Omaha Orange cars from '68 and '69 that have documentation.  I think the note was intended to mean no 1970 Chargers documented in that color.  That chart also lists "Not Available" for F6, T3 and R6 - all of which were definitely available in 1969 anyway.

For the Plymouth line, K2 ("Vitamin C" on Plymouths) replaced the 999 Omaha Orange color towards the latter part of the '69 model year.  There's a copy of a TSB lurking around somewhere inside my computer that outlines this changeover.  It depends on who you talk to as to whether K2 was available on Dodge cars (K2 was called "Go Mango" for Dodges)  during '69, but there were definitely several 999 Omaha Orange Dodges built that year including two Daytonas built in late June just a few weeks before the model changeover to 1970.  As you already noticed, Omaha Orange and K2 are different colors, despite what you'll read in Galen's little white books.

hemi-hampton has all the Hi-Impact colors listed out exactly right, except the aforementioned mild debate about Go Mango for Dodge in '69.

The paint chip page doesn't really give you a feel of how they look in person. Here's a better description... http://1970chargerregistry.com/Misc/Colors.html

That chart just pertains to '70 Chargers, not 68 or 69.
