need help with spring hieght on my heads

hey guys
  i am building a 440 motor. my friend is building a set of 906 heads for it. he asked me what spring height i needed . i don't know. i have these springs

i am using the forth cam down on the xtreme comp cams. part of the page . it has 480 lift on the exhaust valve. I'm using 1.5 roller rockers   with comp cams lifters.

most B engine springs install at 1.80 -1.90 , make sure you have enough closed spring load at 1.88 & if not use a shim under it just make sure you have lots of room so it will not coil bind at max lift

:iagree: The only thing i might add is to check the seat and open pressures. If they are similar to the Comp 911's as the e-bay description claims you will be fine. That grind should have 120-130 lbs on the seat and 300-320 lbs open pressure to keep the valvetrain stable.
