I have another question about the fuel gauge on my 73 charger. When I got the car the tank was off and all the interior was out, and there was no wire going to the tank but I have a bunch of wires going down the drivers side. Does anyone know which wire leads to the tank for the fuel gauge? Also does the gas tank ground itself or will I have to ground it to get it to work?

Blue wire to tank... throught trunk pan grommet at passneger side. Bullet female terminal 90º plug

Ground to tank or sender... My car had for looong time no ground strap and worked fine. I just added a wire just in case. Will add the right strap as soon I buy and get.

Same strap used by Chrysler for ages.
