PPG Base Coat? Whats up?

Do you sand the base coat before you spray the clear? How long do you have before you have to spray the clear? What do you do with base coat runs? Thanks

No, don't sand the base but you will have to fix (sand with P400 grit or finer) the run(s) first and respray those areas. Flash time between coats is about 10 minutes, flash before clearcoat is 15-30 minutes, Max dry time before clearcoat is 24 hours. These numbers are based on DuPont paint as that is what I have access to.
