Can someone tell me what tool is required to remove these screws? And can I get one at Sears?

68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Just 6T9 CHGR

You need a special socket called a Trident head or Tri-groove.

I used to sell the setup on ebay but my supply has run dry :(

Thanks for the replies, Fellas. At least now I have a name for what I'm looking for. The guy at sears looked clueless (understandably) when I was describing it to him. :D

Dang these things are hard to find (or I don't know where to look). Nobody locally sells them and I can't find it on the internet either.

If you are replacing them... a dremel and a flat head screwdriver will do the job for a lot less money!   Replace them with a #2 Philips head screw.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

No I'm just in the process (hopefully almost done) of completely stripping the car down (gonna be a rotissiere restoration) and didn't know how/ have the tools to remove them. My dremmel burned out a couple of months ago, but it doesn't matter cuz I just bought a set on ebay with the "Buy it now" feature. Good idea though.

I'll have the socket and replacement screws saved away for when I put it all back together again.

terrible one

I'll bet you could get them with some needle nose pliers if it came down to it.

I tried it and probably could of got it eventually but the gas cap is actually in good shape and I didn't want to risk changing that. :D
