I got this from the trucking site I hang out on. I thought you would like this. Bigger picture and info about it on the link. This is in Dongara, Australia from the 23rd of this month. The picture caption says "Pilbara Rail GE -9 -44CW 7079 is seen after a rebuild/ repaint following a collision earlier in the year heading back to the North West of W.A."

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of my heavy hauling days.  That looks heavier than anything I ever hauled on a public road, my heaviest was being permitted for 260k and weighing right around 220k.  It was a RR overpass, 19' wide on a 9 axle with a steer car behind it.  It took over an hour to come off "Cabbage Mountain" in eastern Oregon, never touched the brakes.  We run push rigs instead of pull.  I run a 4 axle Autocar with a 425 Cat w/ 4:33 gears and an 18 speed, it would pull a whore out of bed.  Excuse me for tooting my horn.  :blush2:  Neat pix.

WCG, is that the Hanks site you're talking about?  I joined a couple months ago, reminiscing the old days.

Id hate to have to buy tires for that trailer.   ;D

Yes it is. I go by Dodge - CNT800 over there. I got better than a 1000 pictures that I saved so far off that site. :yesnod:

Thats pretty cool! I have seen trucks haul off railcars before.  I am surprised the rebuild outfit didnt just have a spur line out to a mainline and could roll the refurbed unit out and run it where it needs to go.

it does not  take much to move a locomotive when they are  on a track you can move them with a really small trackor   or easyier just go up to the cab and move the reverser hand forth to make it more but i move the small trackor  or track mobile everday

My guess is that you're moving it on flat ground - throw in any kind of incline and it'd probably be a different story   :scratchchin:

it depend on the incline if it is a small one small trackor will still do  track mobile can pull  up to 7  locomotives  they roll real easy when the brakes arent applied wind can move them thats how easy they can roll
