66 power steering question

I'm working on the steering of a 66 I just bought.  The alinement was way out.  Now that I have that mostly dialed in I noticed that the car has lost steering wheel travel.  How many turns should the wheel go from stop to stop?  Thew car is a 383 with power steering. ???
