I don't think I ever see a good movie he was in, except maybe, maybe leaving Las Vegas..........He sound to much like he's try to be to much like Elvis Presley or something.................he's last movie NEXT looks like its a bomb.........Gone in 60 seconds is fun to watch because of the cars but other that that Cage just blows..........

Sorry, cant agree with you there.  I like Nick...  He makes weird movies from time to time but theres nothing wrong with that.  Hes one of my favorites.  Right under Harrison Ford and Denzel Washington.

Man National Treasure is KILLER, GREAT flick! They are making a sequel now and the original cast is all back.

I can't wait.

Neal_J

National Treasure, The Rock and Honeymoon in Vegas were all enjoyable flicks.

Also, as Junior noted above, his name is spelled Nicholas.

Peace,

Neal

Raising Arizona was a good one too.

I didn't care for Leaving Las Vegas...all that drinking just about brought on a hangover just watching it.
Most actors have lame flicks they get roped into now & then, but I don't think he gets stuck with those too often. Most of his other flicks I really enjoy. To me, Gone in 60 was just lame for everyone involved...mostly because I saw the original & was basing things on that one. Not that the original was any Oscar winner, by any stretch.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Loved Nick in Con Air. I'd do him.

I think all he has going for him is his blue eyes, "for the girls", other than that he is a dork, just my opinion and I know I'm alone on this..........

I liked the movies I've seen him in & don't recall any that were bad. I thought Leaving Las Vegas was good, but the one fictional part was to drink as much as he did & still have sex?

i don't know if I would put Nick in class with Harrison Ford but then again the only  good movie series Harrison was in was The Indiana Jones movies and Star Wars movies, other then that he's just a Carpenter trying to act out of class......what can I say I'm picky......make a good movie or don't make one at all.....................

Fixed the spelling coyote sorry about that ;D

I find all his acting forced and wooden. All the same herky jerky delivery and deer caught in the headlights look. Some of the movies he has been in have been good, but more due to the movie and not Nick.

Mike DC

I think he's a legit actor in the right situation.
But there's been some sort of long-running error in Hollywood where everyone thinks he's a good action star.  The whole reason that he worked for the role in "The Rock" (which kicked off his action-star career) was because he seemed so UNLIKE an action star in the first place!

He's actually Nick Coppola.  He's Francis Ford Coppola's nephew.  (F.F.Coppola was the director of all the "Godfather" movies and also "Apocalypse Now.")
Nicolas changed his name to "Cage" early in his acting career to try to fight accusations of nepotism.

Once again Mike is right on the ball.

As Cody said, he's a huge Elvis fan and that would be why he went after Lisa Marie(married from 02-04) a while back.  A little creepy.  He can actually sing a little like Elvis as well.

I'm a big fan of his and have most of his movies.  The 8MM one was a little disturbing but all in all he gets the job done.

You should try "Windtalkers" "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" and "The Family Man"

Did you all know his first film was a bit part in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High?

Also, I believe he is responsible for helping Johnny Depp get his first gig.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

You are not really in a position to be pointing out spelling and grammatical errors.   :nono:

No, it is spelled without the H.

And yes, National Treasure was very good and The Rock was pretty good also, when he wasn't speaking.

I almost forgot - Lord of War - an excellent movie!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0399295/

I am not a fan of him but seeing this movie a few weeks ago made me think again about his acting abilities.

I suggest this movie as it was very well done.

Forza

Im not a diehard fan of the guy but he is a pretty damn good actor  (there are plenty worse).

8MM was a great movie, a bit screwed up, but good. Hell I even liked Weatherman, kinda slow but an easy movie to relate to.

interesting read,..
He's not my favorite actor but i really hated "The Rock",
it's  probably the worst script i have ever had to endue in my entire life..

Neal_J

I'll grant you the points that (a) his name is Nicolas (I learned something!) and (b) he's an actor of very limited range.  That said, he's still been in some enjoyable flicks.  Such flicks were enjoyable largely in spite of, rather than because of, his dramatic range.   Plus he mumbles.

Raising Arizona is the best Nick Cage movie.

One question though, how is it he has more hair now than he did ten years ago? Carpet?
