Nice guy. I actually heard about him through work and there was a story floating around somewhere about how he owned it since high school and the car was stolen/recovered and eventually restored (and then some) to this condition. I'd never do this, even if I could afford it, but it does look good.

I'm with you Bull, i think a 2 gen Charger looks fine just the way it rolled of the line.I don't mine performance and suspension mods.nothing too drastic.

It's definitely got some mods done to it that you wouldn't see in the average Charger. ;D
That's cool that you were able to meet the owner, did you get to see the car too?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

No, I just happened across a local guy selling some things from one or two of his several businesses and it turned out to be him. He had a few Charger parts for sale too (that's why I was there). I'm sure he's very well off. You'd have to be to afford the price tag on that resto. He told me he spent more than $300k on it. :o

Not my cup of tea, but its an interesting car.

I like the HEMI on the stripe too, but for the rest of it, I say nay...except for it HAVING a HEMI that is.

Charger-Bodie

with all the comments about the stripe i just have to say that with all that modifying and that why not fill the s/m lamps so the stripe can be back further i dont care for the stripe when its that far ahead .....that stripe would look good on a 9 or 70 thou IMO
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

bull

I hear you. But then I prefer the '68 stripe to the '69-'70 anyway.

Ghoste

If I had that kind of money and it was a car I had owned since high school, I think I would have kept it preserved and found some other wreck to booger up.  Nice job though.  There are a lot of interesting things they did with it without changing the lines of the car.
