I do pilot/escort driving work. havent had to escort one of those dump truck buckets yet (8m wide) but ive had a few come at me in opp. direction. its "get off the road!" time for real!  :o :o :o  :icon_smile_big:

About 15 years ago we had over 100 loads go to a damn with a good majority of them being 15'-17' wide.  The last 100 or so miles was two lane.  Each load had to have 4 pilot cars.  3 were in front.  The extra ones were for any vehicles that didn't want get the hell out of the way after the first car warned them.

yeah you see some wild stuff in australia too with all our mining equipment. a 24' wide bucket coming down the road out there is pretty standard  :o

workmate did one job the other day. 500 tonne load. 2 semi trucks to pull up front and one to push up back :P

luckily we get paid by the hour not km on those jobs as they done move all that fast  :icon_smile_big:

It would be close if you saw it from the same angle.  :yesnod:
