Here's a picture of the historic Delta Queen, built for $1 million in 1926, cruising last summer in Marietta, OH on the Ohio River.

Democrats in Congress (primarily Rep. Oberstar of Minnesota who's chair of the House transportation committee and let the I-35 bridge fall on his watch a couple years ago and all of his cronies scared to break rank because they'd get less pork) refused to grant the Delta Queen a tenth straight exemption from federal fire safety laws that allow the boat to be inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard and continue to operate as an overnight passenger vessel.

Now it's docked in Chattanooga, TN and being used as an overnight hotel. It was the last steam powered Sternwheel in service in America's rivers. Gone now, reportedly because the company kicked the Seafarers International Union off the boat. The union is headquartered in, where else, Duluth, MN...
