Spotted this rare Shelby GT350 out in the wild this weekend. Regular Maryland plates.  Belongs to the guy in the white hat.

not to sidetrack... but isnt that a gt-500 (i know the car says gt-350, but i thought that was the 500 bodystyle)

350's & 500's are the same bodystyle. 500's are more common. 350's had 351W small blocks & 500's had 428 engines.
That one's a '70, because of the black hood stripes, '69 was the same thing, minus the stripes.

The guy needs to pull his head out, though & buy a front license plate bracket. :rotz:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yeah, that was the first thing that I noticed.  This car jumped out at me because I have a 1:18 die-cast sitting on my shelf identical to it, its even in the same color!

I had to deliver some industrial wheels to a factory in Poland (Goldap to be precise), it was on the border with Russia. I had a blast driving there, now I'm notorious for my faster than average driving, but these Polish are crazy. Only 70 and 90km/h 2 lane roads, no highways, where they overtake like crazy. But I was able to adapt pretty quickly and by the end of the trip I was faster than the everage Polish guy on the road. Everything was back to normal.

Rules for driving in Poland are that you kind of stick to the speed limit in towns (about 80% of the small tows that are on the road to major cities have a speed camera), but out of town there are no rules and the cops basically just don't care.

Some pictures:

Beautiful lake district

A bad picture of a small house next to a railway crossing. The railway crossing wasn't automated and the guy that closes the crossing when a train passes lives there.

Typical soviet housing

Speed camera in a town of something like 20 houses...

So that's what I've been up to this last weekend.

No kidding.  I've been trying to get him to let go of it for 10 years so I could get it off the ground but he won't budge.  He's an old stooge and the original owner.  Talked to his wife one day when he wasn't there and apparently its a bit of a sore spot between them.

"Come back when he's dead and you can have it.  Shouldn't take too long."

Glad she's not my wife!    :smilielol:

It was very windy that entire weekend. 60 temp and 40mph winds. Made for a cool weekend. THey had their stalls out at the mall under a tent. The tent was fighting the wind all the time. Some of it tore. Was interesting to get to stand there next to them out there. They are big horses!
