Heres a few pics I took today.  This creek is normally shallow enough to wade across with no problem.  Its a little out of its banks at the moment....

And this one is just funny.  My brother (15) was riding with his friend who is 16.  Guess what road they decide to take home from school today?   :hah:

It wouldnt have been that big of a deal but she couldnt turn around because she forgot to put tranny fluid in her car a month ago and burnt out reverse.  At least she didnt drive ALL the way into it.   :rotz:

Oh yeah, and no im not in these pics.  I kept my shoes ON.   ;)

I'm OK with plenty of rain this time of year to wash all of the salt of the roads but that seems a bit excessive.

it rained like....      9 days here in southern CA so far this year....

just put a snorkel on your truck and drive through it. it'll be fun. I've driven through water like that before. well up to the middle of the grille.

Id probably try something like that in my Blazer though.

Too much rain - no good; without rain - even worse.  :-\

Our farmers here would be happy to have some rain, we didn't have descent one for about a month.

Yeah I agree, neither is good though. We have had far too little rain so far this year, I am not complaining as I love the sun and warmth but a lot of farmers are having trouble in Europe.

Yeah, so far today is the first day since sunday we haven't had rain.  We driving around Des Moines yesterday and even the Des Moines River is pretty high and overflowing in some spots.  Didn't have a camera with me (gotta put that thing in the car), so no shots.  Nice thing is that tomorrow it will be in the mid 70's and sunday 80's.   Whoo-hooo,  I will be able to enjoy some outside time on my B-day......

I guess you guys won't be having any drought problems at least, like they're saying will happen here. The lame thing is that sometime in January, they said we has something like 120% snowpack around here, so we should be fine...now they are saying it warmed up too fast & it all evaporated, not soaking into the ground well enough.
So now we're back in drought mode. Yeesh. :rotz:

The upside is that it's supposed to hit above 80º here tomorrow...SWEET!! :boogie:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Last week, we got hammered on Monday and Tuesday. I'm talking roads washed away, massive flooding etc.

On Thursday, they were warning of the danger of wildfires.

I've been dealing with the flood insurance people myself. fun fun fun
