flushing fluid out in power steering gearbox?

I pulled the gearbox off another car to swap on the charger and it had the pump still attached ,but the cap was off(darn kids play'n around) and rain has got into it.I turneed the gearbox back and forth while the pump was upside down.I got most of the old fluid out.Do you think it will be ok the way it is? or do i need to try and get fluid pumped throught it before i install it?
I thought that maybe once i install it. once it get warm that any moisture would evaporate from the fluid
I don't think alot of water got all the way into the box.just want to be causcious
